July 2022
...and the seabreeze parts at Hwy 1*5. Nothing.
0.00 again and I'm 40 minutes from the coast. Just cannot catch a break. That 5 minute shower yesterday wasn't enough to do squat.
0.00” here too. At least it’s not 100 degrees outside. Maybe one more chance tomorrow and then sprinkler time again.
"Only" 96°F here.
At least it beats 111°F

I’m taking advantage and about to throw some salmon on the green egg. Mustard greens on the stove top. Yum yum.
I really hope you can get something tomorrow!! I know the feeling and the one good soaking makes a huge difference in surviving the next death wave.

The 500mb height anomaly ensemble runs are disgusting, they basically agree that the death ridge will sit over us through the rest of july
The sea breeze/gust front is almost to Waco.

After one more kinda decent chance of storms tomorrow, it looks like a long stretch of ugly weather ahead with the worst centered across Oklahoma. Mid 110s up there possibly!
It looks to continue well into August as well.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 6:08 pm The 500mb height anomaly ensemble runs are disgusting, they basically agree that the death ridge will sit over us through the rest of july

CPV17 eh way too far out, beyond 10-12 days even in the ensembles is just fantasy land, but for sure the next 10 days is going to suck at the very least
Strong confidence in that forecast. Just watch and wait. This pattern isn’t going anywhere and will only intensify into the end of the month and beginning of August. Book it!Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 10:19 pm CPV17 eh way too far out, beyond 10-12 days even in the ensembles is just fantasy land, but for sure the next 10 days is going to suck at the very least

CPV17 lets hope for our sake that your prediction is wrong i dont wanna be cooked like a chicken every day for the next 30+ days haha
I’d love to be wrong man no doubt about that. This weather is the worst. I depend on the weather to bring a spark and put some excitement into my life and this is nothing but plain ole boring!Stratton20 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 11:05 pm CPV17 lets hope for our sake that your prediction is wrong i dont wanna be cooked like a chicken every day for the next 30+ days haha
The PWAT map looks good this morning, a nice 2.0"+ pocket centered over Brazoria County that will push over the area today.
So far have only seen a little pocket of rain near the coast.
Starting to think we are going to need 2 tropical systems to get us out of this mess. One to dislodge the blocking low on the east to get the relentless death ridge out of the way. And then a 2nd to actually give us some damned rain.
