Had a decent soaking here as a small cell formed and rained itself out over the area.

Looks like Cromagnum got some rain..

And maybe, just maybe some down in Wharton will fall.
We got a half inch in two bursts. I'll take anything.

That so-called influx of moisture today was a sick joke.

It’s 5:38 and the radar scope is almost clear. Pathetic. Well off to another week of hell. Maybe next weekend we’ll finally see something.

Yep. 25% of my grass at the farm is dead now. It's only going to get worse until it finally rains.

Man it sucks. I was fortunate yesterday and got .13 today so far with another cell blowing up just south of me that should bring me more.

I literally watered my grass three times a week and my gardens daily, often twice daily. Kept the yard alive and green compared to other yards but never really had to mow. I swear my grass grew an inch since yesterday.

My brother-in-law drove into Amarillo today. Sent me a photo of the Amarillo sign and there was green grass all behind it.

Then he sent me this…in Amarillo!!

I'm in "believe it when I see it" mode, but the GFS and Euro are both trending a lot wetter over the next 10 days. 12z Euro shows widespread 1-2 inches over the next 10 days. On the 0z GFS, it is showing 1-3 inches with isolated 5+. That is a step in the right direction.

August, btw, is the "rainiest" month in Amarillo. July and June are close behind. Nov - Feb is arid/dry season.

I anticipate a more "normal" August, which still means near 100°F and not much rain in the Brazos Valley.

Ground Hog Day: Radar looks suspiciously like the last 2 days. Predicting either a Brazos County block and/or the donut hole again.

It's not raining until the first day of Fall classes.

At least football practice begins this week!

The seabreeze is already hitting the wall this afternoon. Lucy is not even going to tease us.

I've pretty much given up on measurable rain until school begins, and only then by a great flood cause by a tropical system...

DoctorMu it always seems like we go through these long periods of drier/ hotter than normal weather only to have the drought ended by a big flooding event, but yeah the sea breeze definitely wont help us,
