Received this e-mail and thought I would share for those that are interested...

Dear Steve,

The first three weeks of August were rather quiet across the tropics, but over the last several days with the development of Hurricane Danielle and now Tropical Storm Earl we’re definitely seeing the expected rapid increase in storm formation that we expected by the last 10 days of August. We expect this trend to continue as we head toward the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season which is still more than two weeks away.

Join us next Tuesday, August 31st at 10:30 AM CDT for an update on the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season and what to expect the rest of this season. Hosted, as always, by ImpactWeather Lead Hurricane Meteorologist Chris Hebert, this free, 20-minute webinar will examine the latest data and trends that we’re monitoring across the tropics and the corresponding updates to our previous forecast. There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the session.
