I still think Christmas to a few days after New Years is our ice box window. But yeah, once Wednesday hits, we won’t be normal or above normal for quite a while.

Cold is coming. You can kiss the 60s, much less the 70s goodbye starting late next week.

The million dollar question is will we spend the next two to three weeks in the 30s- 50s for highs (north to south) or will we step down further and experience a more severe option.

The severe options keep popping up across multiple models.

I actually like this map. Lay down some good snow in the Rockies stretching into Oklahoma. Would be a good setup for us.

If we can get that snow blanket between 32N and 34N , models will go bonkers cold for us.

Even the 3-4 week outlook just issued from the CPC looks cold and that’s really rare coming from them. It has the cold air draining directly down into Texas.

The CPC has definitely not bought into it yet but they’re trending in that direction lil by lil each day.

Not completely. When those dark blues expand and they put the Deep South into a moderate risk of cold, then I’ll say they’re buying in. Till then I’m just gonna say they’re somewhat buying in lol

Kind of a dumb question but am I the only one who gets excited waiting on the next model run to come out ( I will stay awake even for the 2 am euro lol) ( for any model) with this type of pattern I always get antsy waiting for the next run to come out because you dont know what its going to show haha, obviously for fun purposes though

I’m kinda the same way too especially when there’s an extreme possibility on the table.
