Yes indeed. I got 4” but just on the other side of El Campo from me they got 12” on the south side.

I live about 10 miles north of here and as you can tell they definitely got more than 4”.

This is all exciting and scary to me. All I keep thinking about is pipes pipes pipes. If the temps keep going lower and lower each model run, think about it, many folks are foing to have some terrible disaster christmas this year. Pipes will be bursting in homes all over the state the day before Christmas. Thats gonna suck for many this year. But, its Mother Nature and I know we cant tell her what to do just because christmas is coming up.

On Christmas Eve 2004, there was a band of about a foot of snow from around Beeville/Goliad area all the way towards Angleton. It snowed all the way down to the beach at South Padre Island.
Right. Just look at my Avatar. That's the satellite pic after the Xmas Eve snow in 2004.

Yeah the ocm's said we should not expect anything but maybe a little sleet i woke up the next morning with my neighborhood covered with about 1.5 inches of snow that was 2009 in 2004 i remember driving home from my parents home in Houston Christmas eve night and when i got into Fort Bend in started snowing heavily what a beautiful sight seeing snow in my head lights.

The 2004 Christmas eve snow storm was amazing!I lived near the medical center at that time and we got around 2 inches of snow.It was sleeting and snowing off and on most of the day in fact, but the heavy mesoscale banding of snow didn't start till the evening time. The flakes were huge!Believe it or not the GFS sniffed out the Christmas storm 2 weeks before it happened. It flip flopped of course but never truly lost the storm.

I think my area and north will challenge for single digits. Would not shock me to see us dip to 7-10 degrees

NWS is showing a temp for me of 22 degrees Thursday night with a 20% showers! Ummm, 22? And showers? I would think that would be ice or snow at 22. And 22 seems too high also. Im sure they are playing it safe. But was surprised to see the 20%. Who knows…
