18F as of 730 AM in my backyard. Might have been a couple degrees less before the sun appeared but I wasn't getting up to check.

Got down to 13 degrees here in Conroe with a wind chill around -2 to -5. Love it. Nice, crisp, clear and cold as hell! Gonna go sit in my bow stand later for an evening hunt.

Let’s see how you feel with it’s 106 in June :)

Looks like this is the first time IAH has seen back to back years in the teens since December 1989 and December 1990. To get back to back years at or below 15°F at IAH, you'd have to go back to Jan 1982 and Dec 1983! So pretty rare!

What a joy that was! Coming home from work to find a stream of water coming OUT of the garage because of the burst pipe in the attic.

I doubt we get anything. I’m just looking forward to what the rest of the winter holds.

Yeah, this is why I never complain about the cold around here. Summers are brutal and this year was one of the most brutal, maybe #1 in vicious ongoing heat with no rain and no hope. The cold is over in Texas in just a few days.

Heck, I don't even like the look of 60s for lows later in the week. Humid and warm to hot - no thank you!

Crazy To think that in a few days we will be talking about Spring like temperatures. With possible widespread thunderstorms and heavy rain to bring in the New Year Lol.

Actually, yes. Reduced arctic ice capping makes polar vortex intrusions more likely. On average the winters are warmer than 30 years ago here (1-2°F), but there's more variation and more frequent winter events. IIWII
