No bust down here, if you think it's a bust you probably read too much into the broadbrush high rainfall totals the models had.It's Summer and due to a lack of forcing this time of year, without a TC or Tropical Low excessive rainfall amounts tend to be localized. Just because your specific neighborhood doesn't get a washout doesn't make the event a bust.It's not like we're hurting for rain anyway, we just had a hurricane...

Yeah, I’m not even close to hurting for rain. Just strange that I’ve had high rain chances all week and haven’t had but a quarter inch. I’m not even complaining about it though. I’m good here for another 2 weeks with no rain.

the 00z NAM has slowed down the movement of the low just a bit, doesnt clear north texas until late saturday, so could still pull in additional rain bands over se texas through saturday potentially

06z HRRR shows a significant flooding setup for se texas tommorow, as the low passes directly over houston we could see street flooding becoming a problem, as the low moves into lousiana, a new feeder band begins to set up over se texas

So far I’ve picked up 1.6” this week. Most of that came today. I’m good on rain here for 2-3 weeks now. And the flood watches did get extended, btw.

Also, the CPC is bringing rain back in here on their latest 8-14 day precip forecast.
