My mom got diagnosed with CMML Leukemia last year in October and my dad got diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma in February. I had to take FMLA to take care of them. My mom had a stem cell transplant in March at MD Anderson. I was living with her for 3 months after her transplant at an apartment nearby MD. My dad had 6 rounds of Chemo for his Lymphoma stretching from March to June at MD as well. Between chemo treatments he got to go home, but had to come back twice a week for lab work and to meet with a PA. While I was with my mom, the rest of my family pitched in to help out with my dad at home between treatments. We found out about 6 weeks ago that my mom is in complete remission and we just got a call from my dad’s doctor today and he told my dad he’s in complete remission as well! Both of my parents are in complete remission. I’m on cloud nine right now. I couldn’t be more grateful for this outcome. Just amazing!! I’ve had to sacrifice so much for my mom and dad over the past few months and would do it all over again if I had to. It was so worth it.

Praise be to god. He answered our prayers.

Oh my goodness that is an awesome read about both parents!!! Sounds like everyone is doing a great job with their care!

Cromag… I was laughing at your post on TexAgs Houston board and your move. I agree 100%. Good luck with your move.
Which one, the track of the next storm? Absolutely. The gulf needs to calm down for a couple months so I can tidy up and get on out of here.
The 57% of Houstonians thread…
I'll take a page out of Chip Howard - KZNE.

For Houstonians moving: "Don't come here. We don't want to be Houston!" lol

John Sharp has already "ruint" the place by needlessly increasing 45K students to 75K.

Cromagnum, while its unlikely to affect us, its not zero at all, beryl was a mexico storm until it wasnt, its way early in the game, but models are now showing more of a blocking high over the SE US, yesterdays GFS runs were showing potentially texas in play, its worth keeping a casual eye on for sure

Thank you everyone for all the kind words. We’re truly blessed. The only part that sucks is that I lost my position at my job and they put me in a position that I want no part of. Today was my 3rd day back at work and it truly sucks, but I really need the money after not working for almost 4 months so I don’t have much choice but to just tough it out till I find something else. I’ve applied at about 40 different places in the past week once I found out I lost my position. Wish me luck!

This isn't close to the same set-up. Beryl had an enticing trough in between 2 high pressures (SE, 4 corners). We have a ridge most to our south that will keep the path of the new TS northward - toward Florida. There could be a little retrograde motion once in the SE.

Having said that the ridge weakness in a week. Long-term we will have to be wary of the tropics.

What is your work?
I work at a small chemical plant near Bay City. I was in the shipping and receiving department and also did all of the errand runs for the company. Now they have me in operations and the safety back there is a complete joke, the majority of new people in operations are lucky to last 6 months, the turnover rate is really high, and it’s rotating shifts. 2 weeks days, 2 weeks evenings, 2 weeks nights. It’s all out in the elements too. All for the same pay I was getting before. No thank you! They can have it.
