Same here. Saw some GFS runs this afternoon showing a system around August 5 landing in our part of the coast. I'm sure the track will change this far out. I hope.

How long does that ridge stay in place, and will it keep anything tropical from heading toward us?

When will we know for certain what track it’s taking?

I hope it doesn’t materialize, either. What is the ICON picking up on, if anything, to cause it to show a cat 4 into Galveston?
