Same here. Saw some GFS runs this afternoon showing a system around August 5 landing in our part of the coast. I'm sure the track will change this far out. I hope.

How long does that ridge stay in place, and will it keep anything tropical from heading toward us?Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 4:18 pm The GEFS keeps near normal- below average temps all the way through the end of the first week of august, ridge stays out to our west

Re: Hurricane Beryl
We won’t be getting much sleep either. Same feeling about night storms.
We are getting a heavy band of rain. I’m at church in Mont Belvieu, the church is quite big, and we can hear the rain pouring down.

Re: Hurricane Beryl
Has anyone else received the Ready Harris email?
I don’t know how to post the image of the email. However, that is concerning saying the NHC is saying SETX landfall.

Re: Hurricane Beryl
I just received an email from Ready Harris. Here is a quote:
The National Hurricane Center has announced that Beryl is expected to make landfall along the Southeast Texas coast between Sunday evening to Monday morning.

Re: Hurricane Beryl
Should we board up in the Houston area for the winds or will that not be necessary? You live out East in the Baytown area or Chambers County if I recall correctly. If it were me in that area, probably not. If there is a big change in track and intensity much closer to Harris County, it will still g...

ecens_2024-07-04-18Z_132_34.964_258.35_16.861_279.992_MSLP_Surface_tracks_lows.png Every damn time I’ve written SE Tx off the past few days, something like this happens. Ugh Earlier today, the ICON was showing the Galveston area as a landfall area. Maybe it was onto something then, and these runs a...

Re: Hurricane Beryl
Beryl is currently north of most ensemble guidance now, i wouldnt be surprised to see more north shifts in the future This storm is wearing me out. The more north shift would still keep us in the clear? No….. What are you confused about? Euro shows Mexico. Although I’m not so sure about that. More ...

Re: Hurricane Beryl
That 12z Icon run would be devastating to the Houston/Galveston area. Where does it have the storm making landfall? I thought it was closer to Corpus? If it’s closer to Corpus, how would that be devastating for Houston and Galveston? Thanks! Yes it makes landfall in Corpus then it turns due north a...

Re: Hurricane Beryl
I hope it doesn’t materialize, either. What is the ICON picking up on, if anything, to cause it to show a cat 4 into Galveston?
