The HRRR is looking interesting for Wharton County later this afternoon. Fingers crossed!
Yep. Northwest Harris County might get a glancing blow. Brazoria County isn't going to see anything. Hope this changes and much more builds to the east.
Can’t believe the cells near Coldspring to Cut N Shoot just fell apart. Ughz
Looks like it's going to miss the house......again.
South of Huntsville, it’s all moved mostly west of 45 now. Still watching the outflow draped to my N and NE but right now it doesn’t look good.

DoctorMu we just got shafted, Cells literally broke apart and split to our west and east, unbelievable 🥵
Well the party’s over for me and it’s only 1:40pm. The outflow just pushed through and the temperature is dropping. That SE flank looked so darn promising for awhile and then it just collapsed. On satellite it can’t even get decent TCu going along it.
I know how the folks in College Station feel. What a wasted opportunity. It’s maddening.

Can only hope for homegrown popcorn this afternoon/ evening. That main line only stabilized the air though so now it's that much harder to get things going.
Clouds building again just along it to my south and east. Now that’s it’s passed by watch it explode.
I’m really hoping those storms over western Harris County expand east a bit because if not it’s going to be a close call here for me.
There’s new development taking place near Shepherd. Hoping that can take off.

It's remarkable how fast the massive Crocket cell just collapsed.

There is light green over SE Texas. I’ll take that over extending the drought!!
So the party may not be over yet. The northern part of that outflow is stalling and washing out and may even pivot back inland some. That may allow the the late afternoon and sea breeze storms to still have an impact. Temp here is back up to 98 as well with plenty if daylight left.
Storms are really starting to take off out there! Even in Brazoria County!
Absolutely maddening. Once again the cells just skirted around, dropping rain a few miles away, but not a drop here.
I give up. Dark red cells split north and south of me leaving absolutely nothing within minutes of my house.
And then it reforms stronger immediately west of me. Absolutely bullcrap.
