You mean jet. LOL. He has a jet fueled up in the hangar at Hobby. Says the pilot is on standby so he can jet off to Sydney.

We are headed to the farm for Christmas. I’m going to be layered up hunting hogs in hopefully 10-15 degree weather.
Just perfection.

GFS keeps Christmas Eve in the 20s in CLL. Low of about 14°F. It's gone drier for Texas.

Correct.
I stay below freezing from late the 22nd until the 26th. I’d take it.

Holy ****, that’s an insane ensemble package up to Christmas.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen ensembles keep me below or around freezing for 48 hours straight .

Awesome! This is much more important than what any op run is showing.

Agree, its important to not read too much into individual model runs in this range. The Ensembles are more important until we get at least within 5-7 days from the event.I feel pretty confident at this point that arctic air is coming, just a question of how cold and if the subtropical jet will be active when the arctic air arrives. We should have a better idea on how things may play out around this weekend.

Not buying the warm up in front of the big front even with the massive Arctic Highs.

I’m glad to read your comment about that. Any idea why that run is showing that suddenly?MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 1:37 pm Not buying the warm up in front of the big front even with the massive Arctic Highs.
