Im not sold on a sunny halloween yet, i think we will still l have lingering cloud cover and some showers around, keep that temperature from rising, the colder the better!

Cpv17 I dont see anything abnormal, i see low 80’s at most for november, ridging is weak and mainly remains locked over the west coast, but beyond november I think above normal temps will be history ocne we get to december and beyond

Cpv17 yep the NAM keeps me in the upper 30’s, while the rest of se texas is in the 40’s, the places in the 50’s are extreme SE - East texas, makes sense, the further east you are, the more moderation of the airmass, since im a but more further NW than most folks on here, it makes sense that ill be a bit colder than other areas

FROPA blasted through College Station just after 10 am. Earlier than expected. We went from 80°F to 66°F.brazoriatx wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 7:08 am Has the front even moved? It's been near Waco all day and all night lol and it's still there this morning
Everything will be earlier: rain, cold temps, and then clearing. Finally, warmup.

The front is currently along a La Grange to Navasota line, pushing SE. Movement is steady - maybe 20 mph.
FROPA should arrive in Houston around 7-8 pm?

College Station is about 80 miles from metro Houston, so it should be here within 4 hours of having moved through College Station if it’s moving at around 20 mph, no?

Because the front has a bulge west of Houston, the rest of the line may catch up. 20 mph could be an overestimate. We'll see.txsnowmaker wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 12:59 pmCollege Station is about 80 miles from metro Houston, so it should be here within 4 hours of having moved through College Station if it’s moving at around 20 mph, no?

The direction of the coldest air is aimed more towards the western half of southeast Texas. If you’re east of 288 or 45 it won’t be as cold there.
