Don too be fair it never really surprised me that much to see this system go further south, that record breaking heat ridge over the SE US was just too strong and just nosed in to much to the gulf to steer this one too far south, hope the ridge weakens and at least allows that 2nd system to gain some more latitude and give more of SE texas a chance at widespread rains

We will need to continue to watch where banding sets up tonight and tomorrow but looking more and more likely that Houston and those not along the coast will see a best case scenario for this time of year. Scattered tropical showers to keep temperatures down and keep yards happy.

Man that plume of moisture over Louisiana is in no hurry. Its closer but… Funny if Louisiana gets more rain than Houston and Beaumont. It has sat over Lafayette for two solid days… oh well, Time to water the plants.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy with no rain today. You never know here, so grab a cold beer. Then sneeze and call it a day.

That blue over Beaumont is probably echo. Has not rained a drop yet. That plume is taking its sweet time.

Plume over Louisiana looks to be weakening closer it gets. Figures. Our luck it will regenerate west of Houston and skip all of us.

Not much in W League City also. A shower and some gusty winds but that’s it for now.

Still no rain in Beaumont. Its like it hits a brick wall and stops. At this rate, the blob should arrive in Houston some time in July. Lol
