And necessary. The winds are there for sure, and along with that comes the coastal flooding. Get the right conditions in the GOM around peak season and trouble could approach incredibly fast. Luckily this wasn't the rain event it seemed a few days ago but the winds and moisture are certainly there

Rain totals dropped down to 1-2" for my area now. Fully expecting that number to keep going down.

Tommorow looks like SE texas best shot at widespread rain for a while, daily scattered storms should be the new normal for the extended period, as for the 2nd system, models really keep it locked into mexico, though the 00z Euro did trend north into around the tex/mex border at day 5-6

Just when it looked hopeless, we are seeing some regeneration in the strength and coverage. It is knocking on our front door, and this time I see no dying off.

Radar is showing rain over Cypress, but everything is dry, and the rain gauge is empty. Odd.

Little bit of rain at the house. Dumping in Freeport but that's about to end I think.

Cool space weather story…..
Rest assured, the weather, whichever day this occurs, will be complete cloud cover. Lol
