Oh, yeah - it's 10°F cooler than yesterday, NW wind. DP dropped from 77°F to 69°F. The low DP air is NW of Abilene for now. The advection may catch up tonight or more likely tomorrow.JDsGN wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 1:41 pm Is the actual front through CS yet? It appears mid 80s and a 6-7* drop in dew point up in the College Station area so im assuming its through. This widespread event seems to be pretty spread out. Maybe once it reaches into 610/Houston and down to the coast itll build a solid line but it looks like a lot of the northwest viewing area will get nothing more than a passing few drops of rain.
0.00" of rain here as well.
We went from a 90% chance with areas of 3-5 in expected. However, the Mesos were never on board with the NWS or phone or TWC forecasts of a potential deluge or even measurable rain...the premonition of complete BUST was strong.
TBF - the HGX discussion began to panic this morning...because they saw what I saw: Preparing to outflow.

Who scared off the heavy rain yesterday and today? Not a drop.

Yeah, it's looking way too much like last year's Fall drought.

Other than for football season starting, I generally wish September was never born.MontgomeryCoWx wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 9:49 am As Green Day sang once upon a time…

I’ve picked up 1.20” altogether this week. No complaints here. Heard the coastal counties got hammered this morning though.

Only managed a quarter inch up in Georgetown yesterday. Most of the area didnt see anything. I've only gotten about an inch or so of rain since the July flood ended. Dry fall incoming I guess.

It’s beautiful up there, but boy is the weather boring. Sucks to be a weather enthusiast and live up there.

Some northerly advection is taking the DP down to 59°F.
If it's not going to rain then it might as well be almost pleasant.

Feels nice outside but we really missed out on the rain.

The low at the airport was 62°F. 59.5°F at the casa.
I'm having to water again. As we approach brown patch season - watering has to be during the day. Another round of fungicide to put down this afternoon.
Until recently, we would get a period of more regular rains between summer drought season and brown patch season.
It might be cheaper to put down astroturf! lol At least the trees are still doing well.

53° DP. So...our heat index is below the actual temp. I'll allow it.

Alaskan - EPO ridge for early october starting to show up on some modes and ensembles , EPO looks to go negative for a period, not getting my hopes up yet, but possibly and i mean an emphasis on Possibly, we could see more true fall like air push south into the US if that alaskan ridge forms
