Boy we barely broke below 70 this morning in Cypress. 69.4 for a short time between 6-7. It feels awful outside. I hate to look past Christmas and my time off but Sundays front can't get here soon enough.

Models and Ensembles take most of the coldest air east except GEM/Canadian who spreads the wealth.

Yeah, the DP is even higher today than yesterday.

You get the pig, I'll get the Apple.

or I'll make some Cuban sandwiches in my South Florida shirt - Miami style.

Fowler means May weather, but close enough.

We did set a new high minimum of 69.1°F last night, blasting the old record by 4°F.

Congrats?

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
524 AM CST Tue Dec 23 2025

...New AVIATION...

.KEY MESSAGES...

- Long stretch of unseasonably warm weather with temperatures
10-20 degrees above normal. These temperatures will be near
daily record high values, and a few records may fall throughout
the week.

- Daily visibility reductions due to fog and sea fog, especially
across the bays and coastal areas. The main threat for fog will
be during the nighttime and early morning hours, especially
tonight through Wednesday morning.

- Last cold front of the year anticipated some time Sunday/Monday.

&&

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1054 PM CST Mon Dec 22 2025

The main weather story this week continues to be the dense coastal fog
expected nightly through the start of the weekend. Patchy fog will
likely develop further inland each night as well, but the densest
of the fog will remain near the coast with lingering sea fog
possible during the afternoon hours.

Otherwise, fall-like weather will continue through this week with
high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s and overnight lows
in the 60s. This unseasonably warm weather (on average 15-20
degrees above normal) is thanks to southerly flow at the surface
and strong ridging aloft. Daily temperature records may continue
to break through Saturday. A cold front is expected to move
through the area Sunday into Monday ushering in a return to more
seasonal weather and a chance of rain with the FROPA.

The sun is out. It's a dry cold in Colorado. Remember to bring the sunscreen.

Sunny and the 50s Monday and Tuesday will light frosts. Seasonable to maybe slightly above average after that. Beggars can't be choosers.

Got the pulled pork for Cuban sandwiches tonight.

Margaritas for Christmas!

I guess this is what happens when we have an early season breakdown of the PV. Lets hope that never happens again in our lifetime.

Canadian and Ensembles are running cooler starting Sunday vs. GFS and Euro. I'll cosign on CMC, GEPS.
