i was shocked this morning WHEN I CHECKED THE NATIONWIDE DEWPOINT MAP. EL PASO WAS AT A STILL RELATIVLEY LOW 46 F.
BUT LAS VEGAS HAD A 70 F DEWPOINT!!!! PHOENIXS DEWPOINT WAS 64 F . WHAT IS GOING ON??? WHERE IS ALL THE DRY DESERT AIR GOING????

Gees, it is much drier in Houston than in Sahara Desert and that place is very dry. The Southwest is wet because it is monsoon season. Every night, I see large areas of thunderstorms over northwestern Mexico at this time.

OK,, I FIGURED OUT THAT THE RISE IN DEWPOINTS IN ARIZONA AND NEVADA IS DUE TO A MONSOON?? BUT I DONT GET IT. THE PREVIOUS WEEK, ARIZONA AND NEVADA HAD DEWPOINTS IN THE DRY TEENS AND 20S F . THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT DRY CLEAR AIR JUST DISAPPEARS???
WHAT IS THE ACTUAL MECHANISM,,THAT IS PUSHING THE HUMID AIR INTO THE DESERTS? IS IT A LOW ALTITUDE WIND SHIFT? THE MOISTURE HAS TO BE COMING FROM SOMEWHERE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!
