I just read on another forum where burning ash and leaves are falling near Pinehurst and 149 on the East side of 249. As I live on the other side of Kuykendahl I'd like to know if it's progressing that way. I heard it was near Hooks airport last night. If the northern and southern fires merge around Ridley Road it'll get ugly for everyone.....jmho

Red Flag Warning issued for Sunday north of US 59.
Critical fire weather conditions expected north of US 59 on Sunday with the potential for rapid fire spread especially in pine areas. Strong winds of 15-25mpha nd low afternoon RH 25-35% will result in dangerous conditions. Whiel starts may be a little harder than in recent weeks due to slughtly greener grasses, should a fire start spread int he crown of trees could be significant given the dead fuels and stressed pines.
Greatest threat will b in pine areas and along HWY 71 from Autin to Columbus where wetting rains did not fall last weekend.
