Hopefully it's all rain though. I don't want the city to shut down cuz of a trace of some very light stuff. Workers have already missed two days without pay.
TxJohn you shouldn't paint everyone with the same brush, not all workers missed two days without pay.

It is in the upper 30's in the NW parts of SE TX around College Station. Dropped much faster than it did with the last front!
I left to go the store about 8:15am today in shorts. Got home about 8:30am, walked outside a few minutes later and had to put pants on! Temp said it was still 60 outside, it sure did not feel 60! Computer weather says it is 65 outside. No way!
Still warm and really muggy here 64 degrees.

So much for that progged high temp in the low 40s in Austin today ... temps continue to fall. Now down to 37 with gusty north winds to 25 mph and light rain.

Rgiht wxman, thanks for saying what the GFS shows but the question is, what do YOU think will happen at the end of next week?
Looks to me that we will have a good arctic front come down over heavy snow packed ground off to our north. Temps will be trending downward as the week wears on IMO.

Hopefully the arctic air gets shunted east and southeast Texas gets an early Spring with temps approaching the 80's.
My guess, based upon over four decades of residing in southeast Texas, a cold rain will prevail.
It's the more likely scenario for southeast Texas.

Gfs could be right!!!! I still think its underestimating the cold air.
48 now in Stafford. What a change from yesterday!
Ummm 41 here between Katy and Cypress! Was it forecast to be this cold today?
Euro says no winter storm for SE TX. GFS says cold rain. Bummer. The trend is warmer n a bit drier.
IF we do get anything it won't be anything serious.
Maybe next time
