While you don't know who I am I know and respect each of you. This board has been my go to place for many years, even before I signed up. I would come here to watch Dan and all of you tell me the truth about the weather and you have taught me so much. I moved to DFW this past spring and never knew it would be this forum that I missed the most. There is nothing like it in DFW (sadly) so I still come here to read in hopes that someone will mention North Texas.

The point of this post is really just to say Thank You for what you do. I'm not sure how many of you know the impact you have on "everyday people" who come here to read and find out what the crazy SE Texas weather will do. Pat yourself on the back for just a moment because you all deserve it.

:D Don't be a stranger cperk! You've been part of the Community for a very long time. There are times when we see excellent agreement in the various computer model schemes 5 days+ out that raise eyebrows and leads to confidence in what our sensible weather make bring. Case in point the April Tax Day Flood Event was consistently showing up among all of the reliable computer models, but we could not focus in on exactly where that flooding rainfall would occur until about 4 days out. That said it takes everyone on the KHOU Weather Community to make it the success it is. Without our Pro Mets and our very knowledgeable enthusiasts, we could not of sustained the reputation and trust of our followers throughout the years, so it takes everyone to make this online Weather Community to work in attempting to offer good and reliable information whenever weather worries in what ever form bring us. And that includes folks ALL across the Lone Star State and beyond. It's you that have make the KHOU Weather Forum what it is!
