Snow line down to Cypress and Magnolia. Sneak attack from the NW.
Temp plummeted to 32°F here allowing above road surfaces to stick! Dew point of 30° perfect for big, fat, juicy flakes. Unbelievable that everything came together. The band was there and the cold air froN hit it just right, and didn't plummet the dew points too low. The saturated and cold vertical column did the MAGIC.
Just light rain and graupel mixed in here. Just not going to make the transition it looks like before the heavy line weakens before getting here. Crazy.
Keep an eye to our West. New snow band developing S of Eagle Pass and N of Laredo near Catulla. That band may approach Harris. County in an hour or two. The potent upper low S of El Paso near Big Bend is generating some lift as it rounds the base of the cold upper trough. This event reminds me somewhat of the January 1973 snow event for those old enough to remember.

Sounds like graupel or sleet coming down in Richmond. The rain slowed, winds came and dried it out a bit the past few hours. Can’t wait to see what’s in store tonight.
It’s coming down here pretty good now. It’s starting to accumulate on my patio furniture and umbrella. I suspect the Woodlands Parkway overpass may be icing over soon.
