Corpus Christi NWS reporting 64mph gusts at Baffin Bay.

That is a big jump from where it is suppose to hit now...MAN, that will certainly up our rain chances then..

I just read the latest discussion form the NHC and the ridge is supposed to build in later this afternoon, thus pushing Alex almost due west. If this ridge does not build how far will Alex go N? I am not so much worried about our area with a direct hit but if this storm were to drift up towards Brownsville or Corpus, how much would that change our weather? As of now....it is overcast but the sun is peaking through. Kind of breezy here but no rain....

Looking at the latest visible floater look, the storm looks to be north of NHC track and continuing northwest. It will be interesting to watch and see when it decided to make that turn more to the west-northwest; however even if it does turn west soon, the track could have to be adjusted to the north up the coast a bit.

Based on radar it looks like its starting to make more of a westerly turn.

They just found a flight level wind of 84 kts about 70 miles NE of the center.

SIDE OF THE CITY AT 6851 MILITARY HIGHWAY. MOBILE HOME
TURNED OVER, TREE DAMAGE AND PIPE DAMAGE TO A WATERMILL
EXPRESS. SEVERAL PEOPLE SAW ACTUAL TORNADO.
