Marco/Laura:
Guys. Please start every comment with either Marco: or Laura: then text. Its hard determining which storm everyone is talking about. Thank you

Most of these posts are pertaining to Laura. Marco looks to be a nonevent for our area compared to what Laura could be.

Just my amateur observation, but seems like Marco hasn’t made that left turn yet and following the HWRF 18z.
Scott, are you thinking Laura’s LLC stacks with the MLC to the south? This would tend to push her further west along the coast at landfall, correct?

Marco track goes directly over my house thank you. Although you guys in Houston may not see a gust of wind or rain from him, marco is currently forecasted to have 40-50 winds over me in Beaumont. When someone says “oh it skirts the coast” that can very well mean something changed with Laura too. Rant over.

Correct. Not so much as a reformation but aligning up together. Can't be sure and the NHC makes no mention.
Latest update has much of the Houston area out of the cone again.

I would not be surprised if there is a shift again.

I think they are really struggling to deal with both systems. This is showing their uneasiness at the solutions. It will shift again. LOL

Quite surprised with the sudden shift eastward from the NHC. I think between finding out where Laura's center may redevelop and how it transverses over Cuba would hold them off on making any big changes. While good news for Houston being out of the cone, I also worry the public will start writing this storm off as not a threat. If models adjust west again the public will start to ignore this storm with being in and out of the cone with not only from Marco this weekend, but now Laura as well.

Maybe those two runs of the euro spooked them,I didn’t expect any adjustments to the forecast track but cangelosi said that even though not explicitly forecast Laura could impact the northwestern gulf as a major hurricane read in to it what you may.
