True that.

Seems like front tried to waffle back north overnight for a bit - since then, pretty steady here.

So when do you guys think they will start to lift watches and warnings?
I see Mr. Bastardi is being quite dramatic today, calling this a winter version of Harvey. I guess after crying 1899 every year since 1998 I guess at some point he’d get close.
Doesn’t look like there will be much snow around here as of right now per the models but I bet that will change as we get closer to the event. For now though it’s looking like an ice event, unfortunately.

Looks like one hell of an ice event.

IKR. My concern is melting and refreezing on highways around Storm #2. This is likely to be a mixed frozen event.
Something interesting. CLL's local KTBX which tends to be conservative in forecasts seens single digits (7°F), which is 10 degrees higher than the current NWS forecast. NWS tends to phase delay...but seeing the local meteorologist go that cold 5 days out is remarkable. Just 5°F from the all-time record (1983). GFS somehow went even colder locally on the 18z with a ludicrous -5°F. The Frozen Tundra of Kyle Field!
Looks like I'm off to Home Depot and Lowes for pipe insulation, shutting and releasing the sprinkler system tomorrow. Going for a walk/run with our massive Labrador retriever first. We both need to drop some weight!

Yeah, Joe is dramatic... A LOT.... but I can't say that I disagree with much of what he tweeted there.

Geez, the NAM is showing a good amount of rain for southeast Texas tomorrow. 1-3” with temps in the 30’s and 40’s.
