Cpv17 its a good start though, given its an arcric airmass i have doupt the globals will probably be too warm, I think the ICON migjt be a good one to follow for that, and its definitely colder than the euro
Canadian is close to showing wintry precip in SE tx with temps in the mid 30’s

CMC 12z has a winter storm over the state as a coastal low gets cranking, gets close to showing wintry precip in parts of se texas with temps in the mid- upper 30’s, coastal low is too close to the coast as well, the model does show the baja low is still moving slowly west so maybe it could send a couple of impulses of energy, 12z euro will be interesting

So we want the low further away from the coast? What day are we talking here

brwzoriatx probably the sunday-monday timeframe next week, and yes we want the low further off shore because the closer it is to shore, it will be able to bring in more mild air, keeping everything liquid, still a lot of uncertainty in the forecast though

It looks like once this cold snap arrives, we stay below normal through at least the first week of december with above average precipitation according to the CPC

That’s what you love to see. Love when those systems dig down deep into the Baja like that.
Sustained cool weather on the way!

We haven't, but be prepared for an OG Fall stretch like the early 90s.

Like I said, I’d say otherwise. You people in here wanna act like we live in north Texas. We’ve had plenty of fall like weather here for southeast Texas standards in the past month. It just started late. But so does every season these days.

Only 6 days with highs below 70° in CLL. Cooler than 2 years ago at least

We did have 90s until late October. Halloween was the first break from summer, but it lasted about 3 days.

Back in the 1980s, days in the 60s in October were more common.

this November we've had 9 days of 75°+ and 6 days in the 80s out of 18. The average high in CLL is 68°-69° now.

Beginning Tuesday we have a potential 2.5-3 week stretch of 50s, low 60s with no 70s. I haven't seen that kind of weather around Thanksgiving and early December in nearly 30 years. The last few years we've hitting 70 degree Dew Points early and often in November and December. Again, since Halloween it's better than 2022 and 2021, but that's not saying much. lol

We had perfect weather in Washington DC. Sunny and upper 50s.

Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving look like around 60 degrees and sunshine. Perfect.

We have had less than a week of fall weather. It's been mid 80s and humid nearly the entire time. As a kid I remember going to football games on Friday night and it frequently being chilly if not cold. It's been shorts and t-shirt weather for all but maybe one of them.

Nah, no "want" for me — the cold frozen precip is useless. The mildly cooler solutions (like featured on today's 12z EURO) are much better.

It’s been cool ever since Halloween with the exception of a few days. I don’t know what else you could possibly want. You need to realize that seasons don’t start on time these days. Everything is pushed back. This past week we had highs in the 60’s and 70’s. That’s fall weather for us.
