Yeah, I’m not even close to hurting for rain. Just strange that I’ve had high rain chances all week and haven’t had but a quarter inch. I’m not even complaining about it though. I’m good here for another 2 weeks with no rain.don wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 5:09 pm No bust down here, if you think it's a bust you probably read too much into the broadbrush high rainfall totals the models had. It's Summer and due to a lack of forcing this time of year, without a TC or Tropical Low excessive rainfall amounts tend to be localized. Just because your specific neighborhood doesn't get a washout doesn't make the event a bust. It's not like we're hurting for rain anyway, we just had a hurricane...

Tomorrow's setup is sneaky, and someone could get several inches of rain tomorrow. As the surface low will be behaving like a tropical low.

Also there may be a price to pay fore getting all this rain over the state (persistent weakness in place). I'm really concerned that we may have another storm before the season is done.

Dumping buckets down here on already waterlogged ground. Some neighborhoods near me might have problems later today if the fire hose sets up.

So far I’ve picked up 1.6” this week. Most of that came today. I’m good on rain here for 2-3 weeks now. And the flood watches did get extended, btw.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 2:53 pm 18z HRRR showing an additional 3-6 inches widespread for se texas through late saturday evening, with isolated pockets of 8-12 inches, flood watch may get extended
Also, the CPC is bringing rain back in here on their latest 8-14 day precip forecast.
