Just because your specific neighborhood doesn't get a washout doesn't make the event a bust. It's not like we're hurting for rain anyway, we just had a hurricane...
Yeah, I’m not even close to hurting for rain. Just strange that I’ve had high rain chances all week and haven’t had but a quarter inch. I’m not even complaining about it though. I’m good here for another 2 weeks with no rain.

Tomorrow's setup is sneaky, and someone could get several inches of rain tomorrow. As the surface low will be behaving like a tropical low.

Also there may be a price to pay fore getting all this rain over the state (persistent weakness in place). I'm really concerned that we may have another storm before the season is done.

What Steve is alluding to. The Hill Country has seen much much needed rain
Central Texas could use the rain for sure. Let them have it. 8-)

06z HRRR shows a significant flooding setup for se texas tommorow, as the low passes directly over houston we could see street flooding becoming a problem, as the low moves into lousiana, a new feeder band begins to set up over se texas
HRRR 06z has 8-13 inches in se texas

Dumping buckets down here on already waterlogged ground. Some neighborhoods near me might have problems later today if the fire hose sets up.

Just now from Lindner.

“Port O Connor has recently gusted to 52mph and Matagorda Channel to 51mph in association with the meso low east of Rockport.

Gusty winds will spread toward the Palacios and Matagorda/Sargent areas over the next several hours.”

Yeah, we're getting almost tropical rain in that band which has snuck its way to CLL.

So far I’ve picked up 1.6” this week. Most of that came today. I’m good on rain here for 2-3 weeks now. And the flood watches did get extended, btw.

Also, the CPC is bringing rain back in here on their latest 8-14 day precip forecast.
